My name is Alan I'm 85 years old and live in the state of Tennessee in the US. I began my ukulele voyage about a year ago after struggling with learning an acoustic guitar. I got encouragement from a new local ukulele group and after about 3 months I sold my guitar and bought two more ukuleles.
I have not had any music training but listened to my mother joyfully playing this instrument and it is those memories that give me encouragement. I created and maintain a website for our group and have learned a lot through research because of the need to develop content for it.
